This is a modern take on the federal style demilune card table. The original tables had folding tops and usually stood against the wall; the top would be unfolded for card playing. This version has the top fixed in the half-open position. The shape of the top is an actual silhouette of a trembling aspen leaf.
Materials: The base is hard maple with birdseye maple veneer on the apron .The top is poplar and the color is native to the wood. There is a hand-rubbed oil finish with a water-based clear finish. Wax is applied as a final topcoat.
