Built specifically for the local American Cancer Society fundraiser, I wanted to create a themed table that was relevant to cancer research and cures. Since DNA lies at the core of almost all cancers, I inlaid a copper double helix into the table top to symbolize this all-important molecule. The table is American Black Walnut. The top has a hand-rubbed oil finish, while the legs and skirt are finished with hand-rubbed shellac.
