An oak blanket chest in the craftsman style. The chest is made of solid quarter-sawn white oak and, with the exception of the top, is all frame and panel construction. The oak was dyed to match existing furniture, then finished with 4 coats of shellac. The exterior has an additional wax finish. The liftout trays are made of alder for lightness and ease of removal. The hardware is blacksmith made.
